Sagging skin around the jawline causes an irregular or older appearance. While a facelift is the gold standard for addressing these issues, dermal fillers are some of the best anti-aging alternatives that restore a firm and lifted appearance without surgery.
How is recovery from JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC?
For up to two weeks after your injections, you must avoid the following:
- Touching or massaging the treated site
- Extreme heat and cold
- Excessive sun exposure, including tanning beds
Except for these guidelines, VOLUX™ requires virtually no downtime, meaning most patients can resume their normal activities immediately. Most of our clients continue to see noticeable results one year after their initial procedure, making JUVÉDERM® VOLUX™ XC one of the longest-lasting dermal fillers.
The possible side effects of VOLUX™ XC reported during the clinical study were consistent with other hyaluronic acid injections. The most commonly reported side effects include:
- Mild to moderate tenderness
- Swelling
- Firmness
- Redness
- Itching
- Discoloration
- Bruising at the injection sites
These potential side effects are generally mild and subside within two weeks of treatment.
