About BOTOX Cosmetic

BOTOX temporarily smooths fine lines and creases created by the constant motion of your facial muscles, activated when you are frowning, squinting, and smiling. Wrinkles develop as a result of these repeated muscle actions. With our Los Angeles BOTOX treatments, the muscle activity is relaxed, leaving you looking well-rested, refreshed, and younger.

What is BOTOX Made Of?

BOTOX is the most popular cosmetic injectable in the world. The active ingredient is derived from a bacteria called clostridium botulinum. When injected in tiny quantities, BOTOX smooths facial wrinkles and lines. It is FDA-approved and is relied upon by hundreds of thousands of people who love the smoothing effect.

What Can BOTOX Do for My Look?

BOTOX treats etched-in lines and creases in the forehead, between the brows, crow’s feet, lipstick lines, bunny lines on the nose, and smoothes vertical bands on the neck. BOTOX can be injected into the jaw muscles if your face has taken on a “square” appearance due to overactive jaw muscles. BOTOX is the most trusted neuromodulator on the market, consistently used by millions of people since it was FDA-approved in 2002.

Should I Get Treatment for My Fine Lines?

Although treatments for fine lines and wrinkles were once mostly chosen by women, men are taking advantage of the effects of BOTOX in ever-increasing numbers.

All BOTOX injections should be performed by a highly-skilled, specialist injector, who has a thorough knowledge of facial muscular structure, so the results look fresh and natural – not overdone.

BOTOX injections could be for you if:

  • You’re an adult with fine lines developing around your eyes, mouth, and forehead
  • You feel the fine lines and wrinkles are giving you an older, tired appearance
  • You are developing frown lines or a deep crease between your eyebrows

Am I a Candidate for BOTOX Injections?

Most adults are good candidates for our BOTOX in Beverly Hills, with a few exceptions. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to any of the ingredients, you are not a candidate. That doesn’t mean we can’t help you look younger – we offer an array of treatments that are safe and effective, no matter your current health condition.

At NassifMD® MedSpa, our professional injectors are trusted to create a very natural look with BOTOX. No one will know you had BOTOX injections – but you should expect compliments!

What is the Difference Between BOTOX, Dysport, and Xeomin?

BOTOX, Dysport, and Xeomin all share similarities, but also have differences that mean one or more of these products can be better for certain areas.

Knowing the differences between the three can give you a better understanding of how the skin professionals at NassifMD® MedSpa can help you achieve the look you envision.

XEOMIN - BOTOX Alternative

Xeomin

Xeomin is like BOTOX and Dysport in that it is an injectable form of Botulinum Toxin A, and that it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, Xeomin doesn’t have preservative protein, which allows it to bind to the muscles immediately, producing a faster result.

Xeomin avoids giving the face a “frozen” appearance, and looks and feels more natural. Additionally, Xeomin does not contain any additives and is only the Botulinum Toxin A, reducing the rare situation in which the body develops antibodies to the product.

Dysport - BOTOX Alternative

Dysport

Dysport and BOTOX are very similar. They are both forms of Botulinum Toxin Type A, FDA approved to reduce muscle movement. The main difference between the two is that Dysport has smaller protein molecules and is a more diluted formulation. Due to these differences, Dysport interacts differently in the body than BOTOX. Dysport, as a more diluted formula, spreads over a larger area. Often used to treat lines and creases in the forehead, the product is effective for facial areas with thinner muscles. One advantage is that fewer injections are needed. While Dysport is the perfect injectable for certain features, it may be less beneficial for smaller areas, such as the crease between the eyebrows or on those unattractive lines radiating from the mouth.

BOTOX FAQ

Is BOTOX dangerous?

Will my face look frozen after BOTOX injections?

How does BOTOX work to reduce a square or large jaw?

How much do BOTOX injections cost?

Is BOTOX dangerous?

BOTOX has been on the market since 2002 and is not dangerous. It is used not only in the field of aesthetics but in the medical field – even on children. Although BOTOX is known to be extremely safe, it must be injected correctly. Never fall for a “discount BOTOX” offer or attend a “BOTOX party” – counterfeit BOTOX has been found in the USA, and the substance injected could endanger your health. A medical license is required to perform BOTOX injections. Don’t take chances!

Will my face look frozen after BOTOX injections?

When injected correctly and in the right quantity, the result should appear natural, never frozen. The frozen-faced look is generally due to injecting too much BOTOX or injecting it into the wrong muscle strands. A specialist should perform your BOTOX injections, so the result is smooth, attractive, and natural-looking.

How does BOTOX work to reduce a square or large jaw?

For people who have more substantial, squarish jaws, BOTOX can be injected for jawline reduction. If you feel your jawline is too large or square, BOTOX treatments can leave you with a more refined, elegant, feminine jawline.

How much do BOTOX injections cost?

BOTOX is sold in units. The number of units needed varies person to person. The critical issue is to ensure your injections are performed correctly – you don’t want to see uneven results or be left with an unnatural look. Avoid Groupon BOTOX offers or discounts. The average cost of BOTOX treatments is $500 to $600 but varies person to person.
